Lynn Lantz: On Saturday evening, our group of 25 had dinner at your Young Street restaurant. I wanted to let you know what a fantastic job you folks did. The staff were friendly, courteous and very efficient. The dinners were hot and delicious. This is the fifth year we have gone out as a group on our way to a show at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium. It is the first year for our group to go to Steak and Stein but it will not be the last. We have already decided we will be coming back before the show next year. Since then I tell EVERYONE about Steak & Steak and I have converted my husband. We started eating there as a couple in 1992. Since then we have added 2 more customers, our children. We are not from the area but when we arrive, our first destination when we hit Halifax/Dartmouth,is you guessed it S&S. Our last place before we leave to drive back to Sydney, you guessed it S&S. If we are in town for 3 nights, we eat there for breakfast and dinner 3 nights. We are your biggest fans. Fast service, grrrrrrreat food and always derby style... love it. I lived in Nova Scotia for years and when I moved back to Newfoundland some 10 years ago I craved a derby style steak for ever. Finally I got to go home in December and well the first place I went to eat was of course was Steak and Stien and it tasted better than I remember unfortunatly there isn't one here. I just want to say that u guys rock, del monicos rule, TWO of a KIND, 3 of A KIND, 4 of A KIND, rocks. ; and that's just the steaks. Then u have the onion rings, crispy fries, AND THE BEST GARLIC BREAD AND CHEESE AROUND, plus bomb baked potatoes. Besides the food, the service is exquisite, the waitresses are very tight ( like gangsta slang), so I jus wanna say keep on grillin those beautifully excellently seculant slabs of beefy STEAK.
