Michael McBunie, PEI: After a hard days work in the yard we decided to not cook but to Join Cory and Julie and staff at St James Gate for dinner. Greeted promptly by Sharlene we sat down to yet but another true dining experience.I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners Cory this evening and his wife Julie the week before and I must say its easy to understand why the atmosphere so comfortable at the restaurant because Julie and Cory both made us feel as though we were in their home. It’s easy to tell that they are truly passionate about their business and the staff they have because everything is always as it should be every time we dine with them.No I’m not getting a commission for writing this it’s just when you discover something that’s really good you like to share it with everyone. Sharlene, the associate who took care of us was charismatic and personable and was there when we needed anything. Cory took the time to explain the breakfast and lunch menu also. I’m excited to try both menu’s also and would highly recommend St. James Gate be a destination for all who have never tried it . Dining out should be special , and each and every time I visit I am amazed at the quality of food and service I receive. It’s so easy for people to complain but rarely do people take time to comment when things are great. I believe in giving credit where credit is due, so for those of you who haven’t tried St James Gate……YOU SHOULD! Michael McBunie, PEI: Hi There…yes its Michael once again.. I feel like I’m becoming a spokeperson for St James but again when you receive great service it should be recognized. We visited with a friend from Toronto and had an amazing dinner, atmosphere and of course Emily took care of us like we were at her home. Whether you want a casual dinner experience or a nice formal place to go its always consistent. The staff adapt to what type of occasion it is. I am always amazed when I receive my cheque at the quality of food and service compared to what I am paying. Our cheque for the 3 of us was around 100.00. We had appetizers, more drinks than we probably should have had, and main courses over the span of at least 2 hrs. To me, that’s a pretty great price to pay considering what we received. Michael McBunie, PEI: We had the opportunity to dine at St. James Gate on Feb26/09 for dinner and were amazed at the atmosphere, quality of food and service. We relocated to the Island 6 weeks ago and this is the first opportunity we had to go out and browse the restaurant scene. Marcus, the gentleman who took care of us was there when we needed him and made sure everything was taken care of. As for the chefs, hats off to preparation and presentation, both exceptional. For those of you who haven’t experienced St. James Gate I would highly recommend it , otherwise you’ll deprive yourselves of a great dining experience, Thank you Marcus and St James Gate, we’ll return for sure, Cheers,,,

We loved it and won't ne waiting for a s special occasion to go back. From the
friendly greater, to the great waitress (Sheila) to an awesome meal
